Piano Play Music Systems has been providing in-home lessons to the San Fernando, Conejo, Santa Clarita, San Gabriel Valleys and Los Angeles communities for over 10 years. We are finally making it official on our website. Now, you can experience Piano Play’s quality teaching at your convenience.
Why Choose Piano Play Travels?
Piano Play has been in the business of teaching children of all ages for 25 years. Music education is our specialty. Just like the quality service we provide at our on-site music facilities, our goal is to give you the same service at home. All of our teachers are degreed; they go a through rigorous screening process and receive PPMS training. By doing this, we are confident that we will provide you with a teacher that is trained to work patiently to give appropriate care to enhance your child’s music skills. Once you have a traveling teacher, we will continue to communicate with your child’s teacher and you to make sure you are satisfied. By joining our service, you will have these options: Participation in our Piano Play private student recitals (which are held twice a year at Los Angeles Valley College's Music Auditorium) and have access to our theory lab at all of our three locations.
Choosing a Traveling Teacher
To choose a certified PPMS traveling teacher, you must first fill-out a “Piano Play Travels Request Form”. Once you download the form, you will then have to choose the type PPMS certified teacher you would like. We make choosing a teacher simple. Remember, we have done most of the screening already for you. Your choice is based on the type of teaching skills you would prefer for your child.
- Teachers that are members of the Music Teachers' Association of California www.mtac.org.
- Teachers that specialize in Classical, Jazz and Gospel, Guitar and voice.
- Teachers that work with special needs children.
- Teachers that work with younger children.
Once we have received your completed request form, we will then begin the matching process.
Step 1: Within 48 hours, you will hear from us to verify your information. We will then set up 3-(15) minute phone conferences with (3) different teachers that we feel would suit your child’s needs.
Step 2: Your will then be contacted by our teachers. At that time, you should discuss *teacher’s traveling rates and any other concerns you might have. Once you have spoken with all three teachers, you will make your decision on one of the teachers.
Step 3: A 30-minute lesson will be scheduled with one of the teachers. This will give you a chance to decide whether this instructor will be right for your child. Piano Play guarantees satisfaction, so you will receive a follow-up call from us regarding your private lessons. If your experience was not satisfactory, we then look for another suitable match for your child.
*PPMS Teacher’s traveling rates are set according to the teacher and are paid directly to the teacher. Piano Play is not responsible for rates set by teachers.
