School age beginners take an interesting journey into learning fundamental music in a fun setting with
Roofuss, who may look like your average first grader, but don't be fooled; he's nothing short of a hero. This
three-semester program will both educate and entertain your child. Where expressive singing and rythmic notation is taught,
while emphasizing on ear training and keyboard playing. Storytelling, games, percussion string instruments
and upbeat arrangements help keep this class exciting.
PPMS uniquely designed Layered Learning Environment (LLE)® process continues to aid school age music makers in
further development of:
- exercising abstract thinking
- self monitoring
- group cooperation
- expanding imagination
A 4-to-5 octave touch sensitive keyboard or piano is required for all students entering this course for home
use. This allows the student to practice the skills learned in class for a minimum of 7-15 minutes, 3-4 times
a week to achieve the most out of the program. Classes meet once a week for 50-60 minutes. Parents are encouraged
to attend this class with students.

| Roofuss Reports 1 |

This beginner's keybord course is designed to peak the interest of school age children interested in the
piano. Students will meet Roofuss, an imaginative 1st grader and learn keyboard basics through his songs. Students
will be able to read in the treble and bass clefs and eventually learn to play with two hands by the end of the
semester. Ear training, rhythmic notation and music theory are taught each week in innovative ways.

| Roofuss Ruttagens 2 & 3 |

Roofuss takes students on more exciting rescues while being challenged with more difficult rhythmic patterns,
harmonization, keyboard playing, keyboard ensemble playing and ear training. RR2 will reinforce the skills
learned in book 1 and progress to the introduction of minor mode, accidentals, and playing in "Do" positions.
Classes meet once a week for 60 minutes. Students in RR3 will work on song analysis, transposition, more advanced chord playing
and learn to play songs in "Do", "Sol" and "Fa" positions. Students in this class meet for 75 minutes, 60 minutes for
group class and 15 minutes in our computer lab. Students should practice 15 minutes, 3-4 times a week
weekly to be successful in this series.
